The Micro Air Vehicles Laboratory is located in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at The University of Arizona. The laboratory is headed by Dr. Sergey Shkarayev.

Future unmanned aerial vehicles will require extraordinary maneuvering capabilities that are impossible with traditional design methods. The focus of the lab is on unsteady aerodynamics of flexible structures. They are relevant to any aerial vehicle configuration either with fixed, flapping, or rotary wings.
